La Senorita Julia

Here's our god-daughter Julia with her birthday present which we bought in Seville, so providing unquestionable provenance for this hand carved and painted fan. She's already close to mastering the opening and closing wrist flicks, especially impressive as the fan is one she still has to grow into!

Lovely to have all the family round for brunch this morning after a great night of tapas last night. Short but very sweet.

Julia was thrilled to see her birthday card, blipped here, in the flesh, immediately spotting it as she came into the house a couple of weeks ago when I was in Brazil, so this visit was when she finally got her hands on it and her pressie! Talk about patience of a saint!
