Bhai

This evening I met with my brother or 'Bhai' Amit to honour Raksha Bhandan (traditional Hindu event where a sister ties a sacred thread known as a rakhri to her brother to ensure his protection). This year Raksha Bandhan is on the 18th August but as Mr J & I will be away, I took the opportunity to meet with him tonight.

Afterwards we went to a talk on 'The Yoga of Knowledge & Wisdom', this talk is based on the 7th chapter of the Bhagavad Gita - one of the holiest scriptures in Hinduism and believed to be dated third / fourth century BCE.

Swami Tejomayananda Saraswati, delivered the talk with simplicity, humility & humour & I felt blessed to be in the presence of a true guru and be further enlightened spiritually.

In summary my take out on tonight's talk was don't just believe what you can see - but have faith & believe the things that you cannot.....
