R is for ....

I have had a trying day as my iPad has ceased to function, given that is where I download my photos to it has made life rather difficult. So This is an emergency blip. This letter R Was given to me by my friend Claire who bought it back from one of her foreign trips, possibly India. It has been cut from an old book so inside you can read bits of text, though only little bits!. Actually it is an old Readers Digest from 1981. I like it though am not sure of its purpose, a paperweight perhaps?
