I'm Back!

Earlier in the spring we saw Chipmunk, Douglas Squirrel, and Western Gray Squirrel around the feeders and at the bird bath. We enjoyed watching as they dashed about chattering and "squirreling" away food. Then I recognized they had all disappeared sometime earlier this summer. I mused that perhaps they had gone on "walkabout".

This morning this Douglas Squirrel (Tamiasciurus douglasii) unexpectedly appeared! I wonder if the others will return soon too? Perhaps they've gotten word that an early autumn is on its way and they need to prepare!
