Eye spy - - -

Another gorgeous day, could this be the beginning of Summer? Visited Thirsk market early. Noted several suited and booted chaps around, Thirsk race day, the trilby is also a bit of a give away! Anyway they have had a great day of weather, long overdue. One of the local village shows scheduled for today has been cancelled because of wet conditions, others in the region have suffered the same fate, such a pity.
Late morning spotted this pair of bulgy eyes in the pond. Took several shots in rapid succession. I needn't have rushed, he has stayed there all day! Later in the afternoon I dropped him a worm, I'm sure he must have been quite hungry by then (he did eat it before resuming his position).
Got out on my bike in the afternoon. (the Wiggins effect!) Went on a circular route not taken for a while and it was hard work. Very pleasant though and good to be in the great outdoors. Now looking forward to improving my performance. Fitness regime starts Monday!
