Forty Winks...
Backblip
Alan has discovered they joy of having 40 winks (or power napping as it seems to be known these days :-))
As a young child and never had an afternoon nap and he never, ever fell asleep in his car seat. We could get off a ferry in France and drive for 10 hours to get to our holiday house and not once would his eyes close. I reckoned he was too nosey.
Over the past year however, especially if he's had a late night/busy morning, he will have a wee doze in the afternoon (if he's not out and about that is.) When we notice he's dozed off we will recline his wheelchair slightly to make him more comfortable (he refuses to have it reclined in preparation for a snooze *rolls eyes*) and that's usually him for 15 minutes to half an hour.
Today I think the drama of the weekend caught up with him (and me) as he was found snoozing by his support worker Christine, who came through to tell me he had nodded off only to find me in the same comatose state in the living room.
Proof, as if it was needed, that you don't have to be a Nana to enjoy a Nana nap :-))
