Il Pleut!

I know we are in Spain but I know more French than Spanish and a phrase that has carried from month long childhood camping trips in France is 'il pleut' - it's raining (I believe)

So we woke to grey skies and rain. Not good. It didn't stop us breakfasting in the terrace or MrRoly and the younger 3 from swimming in the pool.

When they'd had enough, we headed to Alicante for an explore. We found ourselves a little 'greasy caf' with a few locals in so treated ourselves to tapas for dinner. Very nice it was too, although not a patch on Ramon's or his brother's in Port D'Alcudia!

It was really warm so we decided to stroll down to the beach for a swim. When we got there it was so windy the children all refused to go further as they were being sand blasted. We walked instead along the marina and heaved a sigh of relief that we hadn't chosen then Melia Alicante hotel!

By now the sun had burnt through and the children had had enough so we returned to the overcast golf club and washed away the same and stickiness in the pool before enjoying a cracking meat paella courtesy of MrRoly.
