Is this the way to do it?

Today begins the period of using up leave entitlement before actually retiring. It was a gorgeous day of sunshine, blue skies and very little breeze. I suggested that we go out on the Ranger walk and that Mr L should start his new life of leisure the way that I intend that he should go on.... with a camera in his hand.

Alas, he had other ideas. We spent a few hours working on tidying and decluttering the garage. The local Facebook Group came in handy again and I have managed to keep a few items off the bonfire and out of landfill. I even added to the Petrol savings jar in anticipation of our post-retirement holiday wanderings.

It is quite depressing, having made some space in the garage at last, to have to return everything before the bad weather comes.

We have sorted out  the Eastern end of the garage and now also the Western end. We just need to tackle the central zone now.

Needless to say, by the time that we had completed our work, the lovely weather had gone and so the anticipated barbecue had to be cooked and eaten indoors.

Tomorrow's forecast is a bit grim, so we won't be carrying on with the clearout. I think Mr L is going to be laying tiles in the porch. I intend to do as little as possible.
