Weathervane

This evening some bellringers from Chailey came over to ring the bells of  St Mary's Church in our home village, Newick, and since we are interested in learning the art, we were invited to come along and see some of the principles of church bell ringing in action.

The evening began with a climb to the top of the tower, where the ornate weathervane stood out against the bright evening sky.
