Golden Anniversary

Mum and dad's 50th anniversary, Jings! Pretty low key, apart from being in Clachtoll which is all the right kind of low key. Boat trip up the coast for Mum, me and the kids, seeing Achmelvich and split rock from the sea but the weather and the lack of banter from the host made it a bit of damp squid this time. Farcical lunch back on shore at Peet's restaurant that didn't initially bode well but ended up just fine with a pinch of Dad being off his rocker and the owner being eccentrically honest. But eventhe sight of Dan Snow (Mr patronising "Stay with us Scotland" pants oh and by the way my father in law owns half of Scotland) couldn't put us off our food.

Dave and Sam headed to Achmelvich late on to see the sea slugs that look like sea dragons and more beasties besides.
