Three & A Half : Marking The Signs 1

I saw this marking on the pavement of the newly resurfaced road outside my old schools (both primary and secondary), and it got me thinking about a new series of images.
. I realised that the language of road resurfacing is like a form of hyrogliphs - obviously to the workers themselves they are easy to decipher but to the rest of us they are like a foreign dialect we don't understand. I really love the strong vibrant yellow against the grey and black of the pavement and road. It also got me thinking about how markings and signs influence our everyday life, almost without us realising it.
