Club BBQ
Club walk and BBQ today. The coach took us to our start point, and we left the visitor centre at Northfield and walked to the St. Abb's Head Lighthouse. From there we followed the coastal trail to St. Abbs, and then Coldingham Bay, and on to Eyemouth. Picked up by the coach there and taken back to Coldingham Sands, where a stout band of volunteers had set up our bbq on the beach.
The weather was great, sometimes sunshine, sometimes not, but warm all day. After enjoying our beefburgers accompanied for most of us by a glass or two of wine, we paddled our feet in the sea and fooled around for an hour or so before heading home after a great day.
My photo is of two of our volunteers, who gave up their day's walking to give us a treat. Much appreciated, lads.
When we returned home, we faced heavy rain, and got soaked just getting from the coach to our cars. We reckon we had the best of the day!
