Attempting fiddle crochet

I'm trying to make some thank you flower crochet broaches for my hospital rehab team. The problem is I can't see the stitches properly, even with my bad eye closed, my fingers aren't working properly and I have a dog on my lap!
Otherwise a good day. My nephews were here. We had fun playing mario cart and I caught up with some friends.
