Male Moorhen

This male Moorhen was putting on a bit of a display for the ''Lady'' Moorhens on the pond.
  They seem to have bred very well this season?
People are feeding the Ducks and Moorhens,a little more sensibly now.more grain and cereal and a little less white bread.
   What we really need is some rain to replenish the water levels in the Moat.
   Must try to sort the weirs to increase the water depths?Then it would maintain a better level during dry spells!
