Friends for dinner after a good day at work. And a parenting fail - Eve brought home freshly laid eggs and was super excited about eating them for breakfast. She hid them under a tea towel to surprise me. I walked in and whipped the tea towel off the work surface, sending the prized eggs flying. So many tears from Miss Eve, so much guilt on my part. I asked her to forgive me and she wailed "I forgave you before you even asked Mummy!" Cue additional guilt.
