Day 224 of 366 - The Tower of St John's!
Today's image was taken this earlier this afternoon in the village of Berkswell. It is a view of the Tower section of St John the Baptist parish Church. The Grade I building was originally constructed in the 12th Century and is of Norman design. There is evidence though of an even earlier Saxon church on this site, as part of the crypt beneath the church dates back to the 8th century.
The photo was taken using the app ProCamera on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Snapseed to edit the picture. I cropped and straightened the image, then applied both the Tonal Contrast and Vintage 08 preset. I decreased the highlights and increased the sharpness and structure. After this I boosted the saturation and ambiance. Next I used the app Painteresque to apply the Painteresque 2 painterly preset. I then used DistressedFX to add the Stirred overlay and the Sentiment texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Recover Highlights Preset, the Stark FX, a medium dark vignette. I then added the Paper texture and the Leather frame.
