There are various amusing cartoons that do the rounds regarding the difference between how people view software development. As in what customer wants, what the sales teams sell etc.

Here in Acme towers, I have been involved in a similar scenario. It is increasingly looking like what the customer wants for their site go live in a couple of weeks ain't doable.
