Old meets new

A crisp fresh pastry temporarily rested on the old hand-painted plate. And I marvelled at how the painted flowers still look fresh and the fresh pastry irrestible.
Technology allowed the baking of the pottery and my gorgeous sweet custard filled fine layered pastry slice of heaven.
All of a sudden it disappeared..!!!
