Scarecrow trail...

For the past few years one of the 10 parishes in Guernsey called Torteval has held a Scarecrow Trail. The lanes are closed for two days to traffic apart from residents of the houses on the route. Various families compete against each other with their homemade scarecrows. It takes about 1½ hours to walk around and the atmosphere is lovely. Today we took our Grandchildren as we had them for the day. They loved it. There were over 60 scarecrows. This is a group at what was known today as the Torteval hospital! What a mottly crew.
