Bulrush?

When we were having our pond constructed, I requested that the plants included bulrushes.  I was told in no uncertain terms that what I called bulrushes were in fact "reedmace".  But whatever you call them, they are one of my favourite pond plants.

I'm told they can be rather invasive, and might need to be controlled - but I think our pond is small enough to allow control, and hopefully large enough to cope with the "lesser reedmace" that we have.
