Men at work

So, the wind and driving rain continue relentlessly. So much so that the garage roof has a small leak and some water has come in the hall window. (The seal clearly needs some attention).

Our friends nearby heard a loud crack the night before last, but didn't realise until yesterday that a tree adjacent to them had a limb that cracked and was resting on another one. This morning the council closed the road and chopped a fair bit off that tree, piece by piece. Here you can see one of the workers holding the piece just cut off by his workmate. All done in the wind and rain.

The forecast says dry tomorrow. We shall see.........
