All the fun of the Fair
The annual fair has been setting up all week. With parents due to collect the girls late afternoon, we had promised them the fair when it opened, which was well advertised as 2pm.
Off we went at 2:30, it was very hot and on impulse we decided to take a car instead of walking. Thank goodness we did, it was not open yet. We returned home with a very upset 6 year old, assuming there was a delay and promised a return in an hour so. Off we went again around 4 and still not open. Mollie was devastated! She had set her heart on the harnessed trampoline!
Their parents arrived at around 5:30, and we threw some burgers, sausages and chicken on the BBQ before setting off again. Third time lucky! We spent an hour at the fair, by which time their parents decided it was too late to go home!
So, having laundered all the towels and used bedding etc this morning, I re made the bed, pumped up the blow up bed, sorted duvet and covers and pillows and now have 2 in the guest room and 2 more on the bed in the sitting room! So much for my peaceful Friday evening, and I am way too tired to go to the beach at midnight as previously planned to watch the shooting stars.
I have no idea how I managed to get such a clear image of the girls on that ride. It was pure, luck, it was spinning back and forth and round and round so fast, and although certain 6 year old declared she loved it, she had in fact wet herself!
