The Old Saxon Church, Bradford-on-Avon

At 11.00, we were picked up by ... Clean Steve!  You can read about our adventures on his post for today -- first the Dundas Aquaduct, which is also one of my extras, then on to Iford where we enjoyed the view of the manor there and the little bridge, and then Bradford-on-Avon, where we had a delicious and filling snack, after which we visited the Old Saxon Church of St. Lawrence, which is what I decided to post today.

The other extra shot is of Steve and hubby, who hit it off so well they examined every nook and cranny of the Saxon church, even calculating how large the extra space behind the altar must have been and what it was probably used for.  While waiting for them, I sat in the sun pulling off strands of grey hair and then later fell asleep on the backseat as they continued with their discussions on the way back to Bath.

Thank you for a most wonderful day, Steve!  I am certainly glad we have finally met and hope this wasn't the last time!

Thanks for the vicarious hug, Mad Hen!

Tomorrow, we'll be off again, this time to ... oh why tell you when you'll see it when I post it ... ;DD
