Jessica Goes Exploring

Jessica is now starting to explore more of our living room - particularly the carpeted section where her paws have more grip than on the bare polished wooden floor.

What you see here happened while Norman was being kept inside his cage to let Jessica have the run of the living room. Shortly after this picture was taken, Jessica did a couple of 'binkies' while dashing across the carpet - the first we've seen from her, and a very good sign that she's settling in comfortably here and starting to feel 'at home'.

In case anybody is wondering, the blueish object in this photo is a plastic bucket drying in front of one of our room heaters, now that the apple tree clippings that were being kept hydrated in it have now all been eaten by our happy pair!
