1000 Blips

I started taking a photo a day on 1st April 2013, posting to my Facebook page; by my calculations that's 1229 continuous blips.

A 1000 blips ago, a friend who was on Blipfoto told me about the site, and as I was already 'blipping' I just fell into the groove easily. Looking back over the photo's I've been taking, I think I can see that I've improved. I've always maintained that the hardest part of photography normally isn't taking the photo, but the idea. Too often it's been the evening and I have had to think of what I can take a photo of. It's too easy for me to take an easy one of something in the house - I've never been one for an easy ride!

I've really enjoyed blipfoto and so glad it's worked through it's troubles. In a way it's a good thing as it's come through it stronger with many of us having a 'share' or stake in it. It's now community owned by people who care,  run by people who care.

I love seeing the rich diversity of photo's. From seeing photographic gems to flowers, lego, children, dogs, meals, and all other sorts of weird and wonderful images. Many have given me ideas and inspired me, and I've learned from looking at them all.

The blip photo is taken from my patio of a flock of birds flying over. I've rearranged some to help with a tribute to my 1000 blips. I think it's the first time I've taken a picture for a blip milestone. I've plenty of time to think of what to do for 2000! Hopefully, the blip shop will be re-open by then as I would love to see all the work saved in books as a family heirloom.

Thanks for all of you who 'pop' in almost daily and leave comments, stars and hearts. They really are appreciated. I know who you are, I just don't want to embarass you! :)
