Today's the day ........................ for a dog's day tale

Maisie is a very emotional little dog - and her emotions are very near the surface. 

She's on a mission to rid the world of intruders and 'intruders', in her book, take the form of anything on legs/wings in her garden.  She also has a bit of an underwear fetish - but perhaps we'll leave that for another day.  Because of her passionate nature, she's normally only allowed in the garden under supervision.  A few weeks ago, however, she took advantage of an open window to launch herself into the wider world and by the time anyone had had a chance to notice her absence, she was long gone.

It took several people and several hours to eventually capture her.  It wasn't that she went far.  Tantalising glimpses of her were seen in distant gardens but by the time anyone got there, there was no sign of her.  In the end, she gave herself up because she was exhausted and hungry - but oh what a wonderful time she had had.

She was absolutely filthy - probably from all that rabbit chasing - and it took several baths to get anywhere her original colour.  She was completely unrepentant of course.  She probably knew that she was breaking all the rules and likely to be in deep trouble - but that happy little face said it all.

It had been worth every minute of it ............................
