Alnwick

Thanks to Alan we were able to get in to the Castle and Gardens for free today :) it's been years since we went round either, and I couldn't remember any of the castle, so it was really good. The castle is used as Hogwarts in some of the films and just to the left of this where they film the first flying lesson there were real life broom lessons going on! My cousin was also in the first film as an extra and we think it was just out here that she walked across in front of Harry, Ron and Hermione. It was boiling today, and or anyone familiar with the North East that is unheard of!
Went to Phil and Gill's this evening, which was lovely to see them, and watched the athletics. COME ON TEAM GB! So proud of them all!
