Percy; Scarier
Went in search of Michaelmas Daisies today. That's fairly easy as the National Collection of Michaelmas Daisies is only on the other side of the hill.
The 'daisies weren't in bloom as it's a bit early for that (but the time to plant them). The nursery had other plants which proved a bit of a temptation too, including some persicaria which I'd read about in a magazine as being good for a slope; so I added some to the trolley.
Still trying to learn a few posh names for plants; especially when the common name is knotweed.
Was only when I got home that I found (a) persicaria covers a range of about a billion different plants that only vaguely look similar, and (b) we'd already got some (that looks completely different).
The persicaria are the crimson things on stalks; the bright yellow flowers are something else. No idea what. Percy Timidia perhaps.
