Day 12: Slip Sliding Away

Our time in Italy is drawing to a close so we're making the most of the beautiful weather while we can, although we are lucky enough to have a few days in France still before we head back home.
The children have loved the pools, it's made such a huge difference to our experience; last year we were near to a beach but no pool and the children found it much more difficult to entertain themselves.
It's been so lovely spending time as a family, playing in the pools, discovering new places, sharing long, leisurely meals, squabbling over games of Uno! D and Alf have stayed up late just sitting on the deck spotting stars and planets. At home the children are plugged in and zoned out more often than not.
Obviously not every second has been sweetness and light but there have been moments which have been magical.
