King of the Swingers

So much for the heatwave, it's been horrid today.

We lolled in bed until lunch then drove over to the Village Store in Helmshore (where I went for food a couple of weekends ago).

The food as always was excellent but service was virtually non existent after we'd been given our food; another drink would have been nice but we gave up waiting!

The bill was a shocker.....£8.15 for a panini!!!!!!!!! We were told we'd been charged a supplement for ordering a ciabatta. This seemed bizarre to us as we ordered from the section of the menu that said 'toasted ciabatta/wrap'. So I really didn't get why we were charged extra when that's what we'd ordered. That's like being charged extra for the potato if you order a jacket spud!!!

Needless to say, we left feeling very disgruntled and mightily ripped off and won't be going again.
We had planned to book a table for next weekend to take Laura and Steve there, but we've booked elsewhere instead now.

Next stop was Mums, she was really chirpy and much more mobile. She went to see a private physio on Wednesday and said the difference is amazing, with the treatment and her movement since. She's actually managing to sleep at night now.
She's going again next week and has decided not to bother with the NHS physio again.

While we were there, she asked me to take a photo of Theia's swing to see if anyone might want it. Theia has followed Theo down the not liking swings route, so someone else may as well get the use out of it.
Not Mr A though as it's only suitable for up to age 3.....not 43!
