Someone to watch over you

Vintage jewellery shop has these dolls on display next to the counter. I'm pretty sure she does it to deter burglars. Didn't seem to put off the shoppers... I suspect it was the prices of her pieces that did that! :0

Am I the only one who finds these dolls a bit creepy?
