Never Expected A Nighter
Yesterday, there were announcements at all Hanshin stations that Koshien Stadium was full to capacity, so today Arthur and I went to the stadium one hour before the 1530 game started hoping that would give us a chance to find a seat. Wrong. There were hundreds of people waiting outside the stadium hoping for the same thing. No chance. So we joined the long, long queue for Y600 seats. We ended up standing in line for almost two hours because the previous game was so long. We were still queuing after our game had started. Thankfully, the game was stopped because of a thunder storm. Then, when the rain started, many people in the uncovered free seats went home so Arthur and I left the queue for Y600 seats and grabbed ourselves a couple of free seats when the rain stopped.
Two players went to bat, one of them scoring a home run, before the game was stopped again by thunder and lightning. The game restarted about thirty minutes later before being stopped again by rain. Finally, when the game restarted again after another thirty minute pause, there were no further interruptions.
After all that, I'm pleased to say that Osaka Riseishya won by five points to one.
