Bald Eagle

A Big Country

We cycled to bell ringing this morning and discovered that I have a slow puncture which we repaired when we came home.

We walked up to the wall garden and on the way we passed our new neighbour and a friend who were picking raspberries from the hedgerows. We came to an agreement that they would supply the jam and we, well NM really, would make the scones.

We had a bite to eat when we arrived at the wall gardens which were not too busy today. We then had a leisurely stroll around the kitchen garden, the pleasure garden and the Master's Walk. Then we took the long way home past the cricket ground, into the village and along the lane.

We had noticed the combine in the field when we had cycled home from bell ringing and thought that they might be harvesting. We saw the contractor make a couple of passes before filling up the trailer. He then jumped into the tractor to take the trailer load to the farm. I was tempted to see if he had left the keys in the combine. But I resisted.
