Canal cruise

This afternoon we had a delightful cruise along the Grand Union Canal from Batchworth.  We had invited several friends who had been at our wedding 30 years ago to join us for the day to celebrate our anniversary (and a couple of big birthdays we mark this year).  We enjoyed food and drink while the crew navigated us through several locks (although I was pleased that most of our friends decided to join in to help work the locks - many of them have been, like us, canal enthusiasts for a long time). 

The weather was fine, indeed better than forecast.  We had a great afternoon - and it was an opportunity to look again at some of our wedding photographs, including those of us leaving the reception on my father-in-law's narrowboat.
