Safe haven

We spent the morning in glorious sunshine making a bigger enclosure for our disabled ducks and geese.

Recently one of the grey Chinese geese has become blind and his white goose friend named Hoppy because of her disabled foot, keeps a very close eye on him and is usually by his side. Unfortunately the large muscovy ducks have been bullying him badly. So to keep him safe we have made a large run he can be put into when we are not in the fied. Hoppy is with him at the moment. There is one other very arthritic duck that I take out each day for a splash in a trough.

Thd chickens jump in and out so they have plenty of company but are protected from the bully boys.
