Nestling in the hills

Short walk on the Common with MrM and Louie this morning, to the usual sound of bird song and less familiar booming of gun shot in the distance. A reminder that it was the inglorious 12th on Friday!

Spurred on to do some much needed housework by the thought of a friend coming for lunch today. Nice to have the flat slightly cleaner and tidier than it was, and very good to catch up with Andrea.

Another short dog walk late afternoon - this time on Weetwood Moor. It was pleasantly warm and very clear, with good views over Wooler, a town nestling in the hills.

Back home for a very delicious meal courtesy the M&S dine in for £10 deal - MrM couldn't resist buying it on his way home from Berwick yesterday. Good choice, MrM!
