Arlington Reservoir

After a morning spent breakfasting in bed and catching up on Olympic medal successes (if you haven't watched Mo Farah in the 10,000m then you really must!!!!) we tidied the house......a bit. By early afternoon Noo was clearly in need of a good run out so we ventured to Arlington Reservoir, not far from home.

The reservoir, which sits below the South Downs and the Long Man of Wilmington, has been designated as a Local Nature Reserve and is classified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, thanks to extensive conservation work to improve and protect the habitats of several native species. It is also a prized location for bird watchers and visitors who flock to follow the picturesque Osprey Trail. More importantly, there is an icecream kiosk.....

I managed to squeeze in a 5 mile run this evening, although my addiction to Strava is making cycling seem more appealing at the moment
