The visit is over

We had a nice dinner last night down by the water with our friend Bruce who returned this morning to Atlanta.  It's always so good to have him here, and always so odd when he leaves.  He becomes part of the fabric of our days and it just seems so odd when he's no longer around. 

Today is another hot day, but we made it out early for a walk before it was too bad.  Then off to the dog sitter to pick up the grand-doggie for my daughter Sarah, who will come by later for dinner and to pick up her little guy.

Sometimes these ordinary days are the best.
