Chinese

One of the new Chinese arches in Benmore Gardens, on the hillside leading towards the Chilean forest, above the secret-seeming area where the Chinese planting is. Walking in the gardens long after closing time, we took a different route from our usual fairly strenuous one and came across this lovely thing. I don't know if it'll weather in time to the same faded colour as the other wooden structures dotted around the hillside, but at the moment it's a vibrant copper and very attractive. 

The paths were very wet in places, and slippery with mud after such prolonged rain this week. But today - whisper it not in Gath - it didn't rain. At all.
