I don't need roads

Devon: Part 1

I started this so I can look back and have a little daily reminder of all the great things I've done even when it may have seemed like the day hadn't gone well. What I've proved is I'm crap at remembering (allocating 5 minutes to) to do this.
Anyway.
This post finds us in Brixham, we headed down to visit my folks for Poppa T's 70th birthday. My sister and her husband came down too and we had a lovely family meal out. I momentarily cast aside my veggie ways after a little over 4 months and had seafood and my dog it was bloody tasty. One word; Scallops.
It's been glorious weather and I actually look like I've been in the sun, unlike the usual Netflix/PS4 TV glow tan I have.
Beautiful walk with the dog along to a place called Churston Cove where Me and Pop braved the sea, bloody freezing but once in and swimming about was really nice. (First sea swim in the UK in years)
Jen impressed everyone by deciding she was gonna come in after all and bra and pants'd it. "Go on lass! Good on ya" - Poppa T.
A well earned pint and some food in the form of fish and chips, really tasty fresh haddock. Jen settled for chips and mushy peas whilst just staring at my fish the whole time.
Sleeps and a new day with booze and an enormous, tasty veggie roast with a quiche the size of small brick; had to have a nap afterwards. (Forgot to take a pic to Instagram #firstworldschoolboyerror).
Waved off Penny and Brendan in their fancy new Lamborghini (as did the neighbours too I imagine, what with the loud purr of the engine as they left).
Some arcade machine antics that evening on Paignton pier where we hoarded Pokemon related tat from the 2p machines, then Dad watched on as Jen and I laughed and rattled our way around 'the Wild Mouse' roller coaster. Ended the day by revisiting a childhood past time and crabbing on the jetty, score 1:0 to Steve.
A relaxing Pokewalk and a pint followed by watching the Olympics with a glass of wine before sleeps occurred.
Today brings another beautiful sunny one and this time it's Mums birthday.
Let's see what it has in store.
*goes to make a brew*
