August Update on Allotment

Many hands make light work and having friends around who are willing to dig, weed, lop and stuff is a friend indeed!  Thanks to them we've managed to do a lot more than I would have on my own.  The hedge has been lopped on top, loads of weeds and branches have been burned, couch grass has been dug up, the strawberry patch has been weeded (still more to do but its a massive improvement).  I've hoed off some more weeds that decided to appear and we gathered all the last trimmings and stuff into one pile. My friend tackled what is now being called 'poo corner'.  The one with the big bag.  We can't seem to say 'manure' without it sounding like 'man-oo-a'. Makes me chuckle so I just say 'poo' now. Oh yeah, I've added another sunset photo from the other day too.
