Service

Here's a NL-US difference in which the US wins by a long shot: service. Customer services, housing service, restaurant services....the customer is truly treated like a kind/queen and mostly considered right. No long discussions needed. Yes, the process can sometimes be slow, but it is done and all parties involved seem to be happy afterwards. Today's example stems from housing services: we have a leak in our apartment and within days the leak has been found and taken care of (this is how I encountered my kitchen this afternoon, dropping by home to check on it). I am sure when I come after work all is taken care of, including a paint job and floor repairs. And all that while I don't even have to stay home!
