Another boat journey...
.... this time on the eastern leg of Lake Como down to its southern tip in the city of Lecco.
A lovely quiet trip down the lake in beautiful morning light, the service boat calling at all the small town and villages.
When we reached Lecco on this Public Holiday, the streets were packed, with unbelievable queues even for a cup of coffee. We wandered for a short time, took a few shots of the city's best known attraction, the Campanile (see extra), and decided to join the queue for the next boat north.
The concept of queueing is an alien one with locals, and many tourists, and we just managed to find a couple of seats in the heat of the early afternoon sun. A less leisurely return journey.
