I opened the bottle when the mixed double medal ceremony was taking place

I reasoned if I paced it right I'd have enough left to toast the men's singles winner

oh no....the best laid plans (etc)
that damn Mr A Murray caused me to sit up to an unearthly time ...
long after the fizzy stuff ran out

still I wouldn't have missed it
