Midland Mainline Bridge across the River Trent

An East Midlands Trains service crosses the River Trent on the Midland Mainline bridge, and in doing so from Nottinghamshire in Derbyshire. All of this viewed as I sit on the Leicestershire shore... And in the foreground we see the Soar flowing into the Trent as we look downstream towards the sea. Huge amount happening in this area with rivers, train lines, motorways, dual carriageways canal, an airport and power station, all amassing at this hinterland between Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.  A beautiful day and so lovely to sit here listening to BBC Radio 5 Live on my AM pocket radio and hearing of all the happenings in Rio.
