SOUND OF PROGRESS MM134
1974, curled up beneath the sheets at my Nan's house in Canterbury twiddling the dial on a little portable radio i discovered a whole world of sound, gone were those pop tunes of my adolescence, Radio Caroline was on the air, Jethro Tull, Curved Air, The Edgar Broughton Band & my own personal favourite Barclay James Harvest. Prog Rock had arrived at my ear lobes and things never looked back, even the eighties didn't cut it for me, give me twenty five minutes of A Plague of Lighthouse keepers or Emerson Lake & Palmers Tarkus rather a smooth fellow in a gold suit giving me The look of Love any day of the week.
THE SONG THAT CONVERTED ME, BJH WITH CHILD OF THE UNIVERSE
