Abe's Bodyguard

I went to the local library to see a fellow who does an interpretation of Ward Hill Lamon, the appointed bodyguard for Abraham Lincoln.   The man stayed in character for more than an hour while he gave his presentation and answered questions.  It was quite impressive.
By the way, he was in North Carolina overseeing the release of Union POWs, where Lincoln himself had sent him, when John Welks Booth committed the assination.
