What a fab day!

I got up very early and was at Formby NT watching red squirrels by 7.30am... Well worth it I think. I love the smell of the pine forest that greets you when you get there and I think I beat the squirrels re getting up. I had a wander and then saw they were out and about. A few hazelnuts and peanuts and so many views. I love it when you hear the scratching of their claws on the trees and chasing each other on the pines is even better to watch. I thoroughly recommend that you go, and go early.

Next a fab walk on the beach and then to WWT Martin Mere where I saw more butterflies than I have seen all year so far... The extra is a painted lady. On another day she'd have been number 1 blip...
