The Early Bird catches the...
actually I'm not very sure what that delicacy in its beak is!
I was an early bird this morning. Awake at 5.30 and unable to get back to sleep until (predictably) 10 minutes before my alarm was due to go off, my eyelids became very heavy and the yawns were so big I almost swallowed my own head!
I think I hit the snooze button at least four times then it was a mad dash to get up, showered and dressed before Alan's support worker Anna arrived.
i think the builders are keeping an eye on the weather as there were three van loads of them here today (a fourth lot joined them for a specific task in the middle of the day then left again.) The site was busy, busy, busy and noisy, noisy, noisy but I love seeing it like that. Make me feel progress is being made.
And it is. They're now far enough forward with the roof in the garden room that I can see the space where the skypod will go. Hopefully we will be seeing lots of blue sky through it.
Oh and at last, we have FINALLY settled on the colours for the kitchen units. F&B"s All White for the main kitchen cupboards and F&B Cornforth White for the island. We have informed the kitchen company and took great pleasure in scoring that task off our to do list. Phew!
Now I can turn my attention to planning the festivities for this unruly bunch arriving on Friday for an extended Girly Weekend. It could get messy!!
PS Thank you so much for the birthday wishes for Alan yesterday. He received more cards and pressies today and I know there will be more tomorrow, so the celebrations continue!
