... required to make something as amazing looking as the sunset this evening: point a camera in just about the right direction and click. The west coast can be absolutely spectacular.
Another busy day of holidays: off to Gourock first thing this morning for a swim in the open air, heated, saltwater pool*, watching the Waverley cruise past, up to Dumbarton for lunch in our friends' brand new cafe (extra #1), up to the castle (view from the top to some very very tiny people walking on the sands in extra #3) then back to Seamill for dinner with the grandparents and an amazing sunset (extra #2 is +1/2 and +2/3 having a wee cuddle while watching the colours).
It's been an absolute scorcher here today (28C); long may it last!
* very nice it was too however Scotland appears to have gone mad on notices telling you what you aren't allowed to do: no photos, no mobile phones, no armbands beyond a certain point, no jumping in, if your child appears too young they must demonstrate to the senior lifeguard that they can swim a length unaided and perhaps the most bizarre: no taking children of the opposite sex into the toilets if they're over 8. What happens if they were to have e.g. learning difficulties?
